Unit punk dari Kuching, Serangga baru-baru ini meriliskan single pertama bertajuk 'Anak Tokey' yang turut dimuatkan dalam album yang bakal diriliskan akan datang. Bernuansa lirik yang ringan, Serangga dianggotai oleh Giri, Jihi, Kului dan Danzzz ini mengatakan tiada klasifikasi atau genre dalam pembawakan muzik Serangga.
"Boleh dikatakan genre campur-campur macam mee sedap, ada kicap, ada perencah, ada sos cili dalam mee sedap." Jelas Jihi. Menurut Danzzz, mereka berempat datang dari latarbelakang muzik yang berbeza. "We compromise each other ideas and blend it whichever sounds good to four of us."
We don't care it might sound bad to others, as long as our 4 sets of ears like it, then that's it. As for lyrics, all done by me subject to aprrove by all. Lyrical theme usually from inside jokes & what's happening in our daily life."
"Setiap individu ada ideologi dan pendapat, collectively as a band, we choose not to focus on any ideology." Tambah Jihi. "It would be tiring to write about heavy subject which you yourself did not understand. Now that is a joke if you write something that you have no idea about." Kata Danzzz. "Composing Started off with a riff by Girau, then from there we will rehearse it over in studio, any input or improvisation is happening after 3-4 sessions in the studio. Some other songs or ideas we recorded via voice note and discuss it in chat groups especially during MCO period. Long story short all members take part in writing and composing the music."
