Driven by the clash of cultures in the modern world and the love foreverything that is heavy, Glistening Redchair (GRC) is formed by Gheff Abd Ghafar (vocals, guitars, productions) and Firdaus Nasir (drums), and later joined by Nabil Wahab (bass) and Soharzry Salehudin (guitars). GRC’s early days were mostly influenced by 90s alternative hardrock, as displayed aptly in their debut EP titled ‘Guide Us into Believing’ released in June 2017. GRC then leaned towards more apparent post-rock, metal, and noise influences with their sophomore release ‘Therapist’, creating an interesting amalgamation of sounds not often heard around today’s local music scene.

GRC is currently playing gigs and actively looking for more shows around Malaysia to promote their
music further. “Apart from the love of playing music,” says Gheff, “We have ideas and stories to tell and share with the people. Every story is valid - therefore we are valid and we have the right to tell our stories.”
